Dana Demetrian nominated to replace Martin Skopek on BCR board

The nomination committee of Banca Comerciala Romana (BCR) shall recommend the Supervisory Board of the bank to appoint Dana Demetrian to the position of Board Member responsible for Retail and Private Banking, replacing Mr. Martin Skopek who decided to allocate time to personal activities, according to the bank’s statement.

The appointment of Dana Demetrian to BCR Board Membership is subject of approval by the National Bank of Romania.

Dana Demetrian, until present Director of Retail Network Management within BCR, counts a professional experience of more than 10 years in top level positions overseeing retail banking operations of leading banking groups in Romania.

Dana Demetrian is with BCR since 2012, having decisively contributed to BCR’s Retail Network reorganization and processes optimization, consequently ensuring the performance management and business development for 550 retail branches, employing 3,000 staff. Previously, Dana Demetrian had served several leading positions in Products, Services and Branch Network Management with a top banking group in Romania.

Dana Demetrian is a graduate of Computer Science Polytechnic University – Bucharest; additionally, she holds a Master degree from the Academy of Economic Studies – Bucharest, as well as an MBA diploma from the Conservatoire National des Arts et Métiers – Paris.
