Romanian carmaker Dacia, owned by France’s Renault, has sold 3 million cars since 2004, according to a press release from the company.
Car number 3,000,000 sold by Dacia is a Sandero Stepway, bought by a client in Spain.
The event was celebrated by Dacia Renault as part of the Paris Auto-Show, where the Spanish client received the keys of his new vehicle from Nicholas Wertans, sales director Renault.
“With three million vehicles sold in less than 10 years, Dacia is a unique case in the worldwide auto market” according to Wertans.
Dacia, the brand that offers the youngest range of models in the car market, posted a 36.2 percent increase in sales in Europe in the first quarter of the year.
