Laurentiu Trocan was appointed country sales manager of D-Link Romania. He has solid background in sales in domains such as IT, telecommunications and healthcare. Prior to joining D-Link Romania, he coordinated the marketing, sales and business development operations of Softelligence Romania.
“The Romanian market has a high growth potential and we wish to continue to offer innovating network solutions. This year we will be focusing on Wireless AC, IP supervision as well as the development of the business client segment,” said Trocan.
Trocan also worked as marketing and sales director for Medicover. Starting 2004, he filled the position of sales director in Adecco IT Romania, for three years.
He is a graduate of the Faculty of Foreign Trade and The Faculty of Finance- Banks, within the Academy of Economic Studies in Bucharest.
“For D-Link, a provider of an extended portfolio of end-to-end network solutions, the Romanian market is important, having a significant potential both on the segment of companies and individual consumers. Given his significant experience in this market, we are delighted to have Lauretiu with us in order to develop the activity in Romania,” said Thomas von Baross, vice-president D-Link Central and Eastern Europe.
D-Link has a sales office in Romania, but has in total 190 sales offices in over 70 countries, and over 2,700 employees. The company offers all types of solutions, from solutions tailored for the corporate sector to products for SMEs or individual use.
D-Link is listed on the India and Taiwan Stock Exchange.
