Radu Mazare, the mayor of Constanta and the PSD Constanta leader, declared in a meeting of the City Council that the deputies from Constanta will submit a draft law for transferring the shares of Constanta Port from the state to the local authorities. Agerpres newswire cited Mazare saying that an agreement already exists between PM Victor Ponta and him.

Furthermore, Radu Mazare declared that 20 percent of NC “Maritime Ports Administration” Constanta are presently held by Propritatea Fund, 20 percent are at the local authorities and 60 percent are in custody of the Romanian Guvernment. With this draft law, Radu Mazare plans to transfer these 60 percent of shares to the local authorities, divided between the County Concil (10-15 percent), Mangalia Hall (3-4 percent), Navodari Hall (3-4 percent) and the rest to Constanta Hall.
