The second part of the 2013-2014 season begins at the Radio Hall with a piano concert held by Dana Borsan under the wand of the German conductor Ralf Sochaczewsky (in picture), on January 15, the National Culture Day.
Ralf Sochaczewsky conducted over the years such reputed musical ensembles as London Philharmonic, Leipzig Orchestra of Musical Comedy, the Minsk Philharmonic Chamber Orchestra and the Strasbourg National Opera Orchestra. The program will start with Antonin Dvorak ( Serenade in D minor ), then Johannes Brahms ( Serenade no. 1 in D major ). The performance will continue with Mozart, Concerto no 15 for piano and orchestra, which will have under the spotlight Dana Borsan, member of Radio Orchestras and Choirs.
About Ralf Sochaczewsky
Ralf Sochaczewsky took his first conducting lessons at the University of the Arts in his native Berlin, and then attended the „Hanns Eisler” Academy of Music. During the season 2008-2009, he was Assistant Conductor to Vladimir Jurowski at the London Philharmonic Orchestra and, after his successful debut in June 2009,he was invited to conduct yet another concert, at Royal Festival Hall, in May 2010. In the summer of 2008, he was again Assistant Conductor to Vladimir Jurowski, this time in “Love and other Demons” by Peter Eotvos, at the Glyndebourne Festival, and in 2010, Stravinsky’s „Rake’s Progress”. In March 2011, he conducted the Bucharest National Radio Orchestra in the closing concert for the International Guitar Festival and a year later, he began his collaboration with the Radio Chamber Orchestra.
