On February 20, 1938, the great voice of the Romanian singer Maria Tanase was heard for the first time at the Radio Romania, in a program of Romanian songs, at the radio show “The village’s hour”. Almost 80 years after this premiere, Radio Romania celebrates this great success with a double CD, from 1953 to1961 period, in a compilation of 40 historical songs kept in the archive of the Radio Romania.
The event will take place on February 24, from 19.00, at Carturesti Verona, where anthropologist Vintila Mihailescu, ethnomusicologist Florin Iordan and Teodor Isaru, musical director and editor Radio Romania, while journalist and singer Maria Balabas will be the moderator.
