The AutoMat gas station retail chain was acquired through auction by Comision Trade, a company from Braila, for more than EUR 2 million, writes Mediafax.
The auction was held at Bancpost’s request, given that AutoMat owes the bank EUR 2 million and RON 2 million, including interest and penalties.
The 17 unit chain without personnel was developed by Bioromoil, a biodiesel trader, which a couple of years ago announced plans to open up another 100 gas stations. Bioromoil invested a couple of million euro in its Romanian business, before it entered insolvency in 2012 when ANAF calculated an extra EUR 20 million in debt for biodiesel trading in Canada.
Automat’s new owner, Comision Trade, is owned by Florin Carligea, the former subprefect for Braila and member of PDL. Comision Trade deals in fuel trading, en-gros and en-detail.
