Civil Society Gala awards 2012 winners

The tenth edition of Civil Society Gala awarded on May 28 the best 55 out of 176 projects and programs from the non-profit and NGO’s sector of Romania.

The SMURD Foundation “Partnership for life- Telemedicine solution” project has won the big prize as well as the first prize of Health Section. Through this program, SMURD in association with Vodafone Romania implemented on a national scale the telemedicine solution – a service which allow a simultaneously transmission of paramedics and the identification on time of serious medicine cases.

Education, studying, research category: Every child in kindergarten, Ovidiu Rom Association, 1st prize

Art and culture category: LiterNet.ro, LiterNet Association, 1st prize

Defense of individual/collective rights category: the advocacy campaign “Call for mother’s allowance”, M.A.M.E. Association, 1st prize

Civic behavior and public participation category: Hospice at Bucharest International Marathon, Hospice Casa Speranţei, 1st prize

Health category: Vodafone Romaniaand SMURD “Partnership for life – telemedicine solution”, SMURD Foundation, 1st prize

Social inclusion category: The diversity school Saint Stelian Association and Big Build 2011, Habitat for Humanity Romania, 1st prize

Social support services category: “Early intervention for children with disability”, Inima de Copil Foundation, 1st prize

Environment protection category: “Planting the seeds of good deeds in Romania”, EcoAssist and Autumn Cleaning of Botanical Garden, Team Work Association, 1st prize

Economical and social development category: ECO H2O “First ecological wastewater treatment plant”, Mihai Eminescu Trust, 1st prize

Youth Programs category: “RoJAM – Make the next step!”, National Organization of Romanian Scouts, 1st prize

Voluntary projects and campaigns: Big Build 2011, Habitat for Humanity Romania, 1st prize

Budget – / Efficiency + category: LiterNet.ro, LiterNet Association, 1st prize

Impact Prize: Social Services Audit for Children ofRomania, Hope and Homes for ChildrenRomania

Durability Prize: ECO H2O “First ecological wastewater treatment plant”, Mihai Eminescu Trust

Originality Prize: “Iulian’s Lemonade”, BENEVA Association

CSR campaigns and projects: Ovidiu Rom Association and “Every child in kindergarten” – Carrefour.
