The second edition of the Book Tree will be held in Cismigiu Park between July 1 and August 31 (Victor Eftimiu and Rigas entry), announces Bucharest City Hall.
During weekdays visitors will have access to over 150 books and publications from 17:00 to 22:00, while on weekends the program will start at 10:00 and end at 22:00.
Different workshops will also be available for children during weekend mornings, helping them discover the origami world and explore their favorite characters’ universe. Adults will also enjoy practical and creative workshops, Krav Maga lesons, theatre, improvisation and musical shows.
“The success that the first edition of the Book Tree had prompted us to expand the event over a period of two months. Through this initiative we hope to bring printed books back to the attention of Bucharest people of all ages, offering them a cultural alternative for relaxing and leisure,” said Florentina Oancea, project coordinator for the Book Tree.
The event is organized by the Bucharest City Hall with the participation of Creart (Centre for creation, art and tradition) and ACUM (Association for Urban Cuture and Environment) associations.
Details about the workshops and program can be found on the Facebook page of the event.
