Christina Scheppelmann, general director for the Royal Opera House Muscat, visits Romania

Christina Scheppelmann, general director for the Royal Opera House in Muscat (Oman), visited Romania between June 20 and June 24 to discuss partnership opportunities between her institution and ARTEXIM.

The topic of discussion was the possibility of contracting orchestras and opera ensembles in Romania, among which the George Enescu Filarmonica, The Romanian Youth Orchestra, The National Cluj-Napoca Opera and the National Bucharest Opera.

During the visit, madame Christina Scheppelmann was guest of honor at several performances of the groups involved in the talks, both in Bucharest and Cluj-Napoca.

Christina Scheppelmann is an appreciated cultural manager with over 20 years of experience in the field. Between 2002 and 2012 she worked as Artistic Director for the National Opera in Washington. Next season she will be Artistic Director at the Gran Teatre del Liceu in Barcelona.
