Florian Aldea has been elected president of the board of directors of Carpatcement Holding for a four-year term. He is also the cement manufacturer’s general director.
Aldea is replacing Mihai Rohan who after retiring as general director in 2010 held the president of the board of directors positions for another two years.
Part of German HeidelbergCement, Carpatcement Holding says 2012 results were in line with its expectations despite a difficult year for the constructions market. Cost optimization has enabled the company to improve its revenues although sold volumes were below the 2011 level mainly because of bad weather.
Carpatcement Holding estimates the cement market will most likely continue to stagnate in 2013.
