Bucharest International Marathon comes with traffic restrictions in weekend

The fifth edition of Raiffeisen Bank Bucharest International Marathon will start on October 6. For those who want to participate to the marathon and did not register for the event online, they can still secure their attendance at Sport Expo, in Constitutiei Square.

The competition consists of a Marathon Individual Race – 42,192 km, a Half Marathon Individual Race – 21,095 km and  a Popular Race – 3,5 km as well as a Children Race – 0,5 and 1 km.

At this edition of the International Marathon, 200 PwC Romania employees will run in the support of the cause of the Association for Dravet and other rare forms of epilepsy. PwCRomania will have eight participants in the Marathon race, 37 participants in the half-marathon trial, 17 teams registered for the relay race (4×10,5 km), 92 runners in the popular race of four kilometres and four children registered for the children’s race.

For this event, traffic will be restricted on Saturday and Sunday on several boulevards and streets in downtown Bucharest. According to the authorities, traffic will be restricted on Saturday from 8.30 AM to 2.30 PM on the Unirii Boulevard, from the Constitutiei Squareto the Regina Maria Boulevard. On Sunday, traffic will be restricted from 5 AM to 5 PM in the following areas: Constitutiei Square, Libertatii Boulevard, Unirii Boulevard, Decebal Boulevard, Basarabia Boulevard, National Arena area, Natiunile Unite Boulevard, Halelor Street, Independentei Boulevard,Victoriei Boulevard, 13 Septembrie Boulevard and Izvor Street.
