Bucharest International Marathon comes with traffic restrictions in weekend

The sixth edition of Raiffeisen Bank Bucharest International Marathon will start on October 6. For those who want to participate to the marathon and did not register for the event online, they can still secure their attendance at Sport Expo, in Constitutiei Square.

The competition consists of a Marathon Individual Race – 42,192 km, a Half Marathon Individual Race – 21,095 km and  a Popular Race – 3,5 km as well as a Children Race – 0,5 and 1 km.

For this event, traffic will be restricted on Saturday, October 5 and Sunday, October 6 on several boulevards and streets in downtown Bucharest. According to the authorities, traffic will be restricted on Saturday from 8.00 AM to 2.00 PM on the Unirii Boulevard, from the Constitutiei Square to the Regina Maria Boulevard. On Sunday, traffic will be restricted from 6.30 AM to 4 PM in the following areas: Constitutiei Square, Libertatii Boulevard, Unirii Boulevard, Decebal Boulevard, Basarabia Boulevard, National Arena area, Natiunile Unite Boulevard, Halelor Street, Independentei Boulevard,Victoriei Boulevard between Splaiul Independentei and Ion Campineanu Street.
