Bucharest City Hall presented for public debate the budget for 2014, estimated at EUR one billion, from which EUR 240 million goes for subsidies for public transport and the centralized heating supply of Bucharest (RADET), EUR 230 million for investments, and the rest of the money to Hospital Administration, Streets Administration and Lakes and Parks Administration, writes hotnews.ro news portal.
When it comes to investments, the money will be used for infrastructure projects as follows: Muncii Passage (EUR 10 million), Splaiul Unirii – Mihai Bravu over-ground passage (EUR 11 million), modernizing Pantelimon and Iancului boulevards (EUR 6.5 million), Fabrica de Glucoza street widening (EUR 8.9 million), Brasov street widening (EUR 8.9 million), Piata Presei ground passage (EUR 3.4 million). Also, some of the money assured for investments goes to debts for finalized projects such as Basarab Passage, Buzesti-Berzei-Uranus boulevard and Liviu Rebreanu boulevard, notes the same source.
For the facelift of the City Hall building situated near Cismigiu Park, the budget proposed is EUR 6.7 million, while EUR 8.9 million goes to emergencies management system.
