The BRD Nastase Tiriac Trophy, the local professional tennis tournament has this year more than EUR 400,000 in prizes. The tennis tournament will begin on April 20 at Bucharest’s BNR Arenas, until April 28.
The top seeds of this year’s edition are: Gilles Simon (top seed 1 – 13th ATP), Andreas Seppi (top seed 2 – 20th ATP), Florian Mayer (top seed 3 – 27th ATP), Mikhail Youzhny (top seed 4 – 30th ATP), Fabio Fognini (top seed 5 – 36th ATP), Horacio Zeballos (top seed 6 – 39th ATP), Viktor Troicki (top seed 7 – 44th ATP) and Jurgen Melzer (top seed 8 – 48th ATP). The winner of the singles table will receive EUR 74,000 and 250 ATP points and the finalist EUR 39,000 and 150 ATP points.
This year’s edition of the tournament is dedicated to Romanian tennis player Ilie Nastase. Tennis fans will get the chance to see Ilie Nastase in a doubles event. Ilie Nastase will team up with one of his former doubles partner, Italian Adriano Panatta. They will play against Mansour Bahrami – the master of exhibition events – and Andrei Pavel, on April 27, at 18.00.
Tickets and subscription are available for sale at www.eventim.ro and in the Eventim network (Vodafone, Germanos, Carturesti etc.) and can be purchased from the BNR Arenas starting April 8.
