Bosch scheduled a new factory opening in the Cluj county on May 9, tying it to Europe’s day. It is already the recipient of an ‘Automotive Electronics Speed Award’ for the record time in which it was built, according to a press release of the group.

The Bosch team that took part in the construction of the Cluj factory was made up of employees from Romania (Bucharest and Cluj), Germany ( the Bosch factory at Ansbach), France (the Bosch production facility at Mondville) and Hungary (the Bosch Centre at Hatvan).

The new production facility will generate 325 jobs in total.

In a first stage, Bosch invested 77 million euros in a new research and production centre in Cluj covering nearly 38,000 square metres.

The Bosch Group owns operations in Romania in four cities ( Bucharest, Blaj, Cluj and Timisoara) and employs 2,000 people.
