Bitdefender recruits regional operations sales director

Bitdefender has appointed Mihai Guran (in picture) as regional operations sales director, in charge with coordinating the sales activity of the company in Romania, the United States, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Northern Europe, Great Britain, the Middle East and Spain.

“One of the main targets we set for this year was to complete our sales and marketing team with top professionals who will join us in further building the Bitdefender brand. Mihai comes with an important experience both on the local market and in international projects and his mission and that of his team is to push Bidefender to gaining a key position on the largest markets of the world, with a focus on security solutions for virtualization and cloud,” said Florin Talpes, CEO of Bitdefender

Guran comes with 19 years of background in sales of IT equipment and solutions processes management at IBM, Dell, HP or Romsys.

He has led multicultural teams of more than 20 people, developing the network of sales via partners in Romania and other countries in South-Eastern Europe.

The Bitdefender business development will take place through the quality of products and through expanding the corporate client base. Talpes announced last year that the company will be focusing on mobility and virtualization, and will come up with a suite technologies on this side.

The Bitdefender security solutions have 500 million individual users and companies worldwide.
