Sorin Serban, the executive who filled the chief restructuring officer position with Volksbank for the past two years and a half, was recruited by BCR, Romania’s largest bank, for an executive position in the risk department headed by Jonathan Locke.
Serban will start working for BCR on June 1, writes zf.ro.
Sorin Serban has over 18 years of experience in finance, of which more than 12 years are in risk management and lending. Before joining Volksbank, he held the position of Chief Risk Officer at Garanti Bank Romania.
He previously held several management positions in Romania at Millennium Bank, OTP Bank, CA IB Corporate Finance, and abroad at ING Bank Canada, where he was Market Risk Analyst.
