Athenee Palace Hilton Bucharest has a new GM

Jan Thomsen is the new general manager of Athenee Palace Hilton Bucharest. He is replacing Linda Griffin, who after three years at the hotel’s helm, will leave Romania to continue her career as general manager of Hilton London Kensington in the United Kingdom.

Thomsen has over 27 years of professional experience in the hospitality industry. He has previously worked as general manager at Hilton WestEnd in Budapest, where he spent five years. Prior to that, Thomsen received his first general manager assignment in Denmark at Scandic Hotels. He graduated hospitality schools in Denmark, IMD in Switzerland and Cornell University in the U.S.
