Amway to invest USD 160,000 in training courses in Romania and Bulgaria

Direct selling company Amway will invest this year USD 160,000 in courses offered by its Amway Academy in Romania and Bulgaria, the company has announced.

The Amway Academy provides the company’s authorized private entrepreneurs with communication, leadership coaching, sales and other training courses. Beauty, nutrition and home care courses are the most popular courses among the company’s Romanian authorized private entrepreneurs. The courses are available in Bucharest, Cluj, Iasi, Constanta and Ramnicu Valcea. Last year it offered 368 such courses to 28,000 to trainees.

Over the past three years Amway has invested USD 369,000 in its training center from Romania alone. The Amwa yAcademy is present in 26 countries and its courses are available in 25 languages. In 2013 it had half a million trainees in Europe.

US-based Amway has been present in Romania since 1997. The company runs operations in over 100 countries and has over three million distributors worldwide. Last year it reported total revenues worth USD 11.8 billion.
