Gilbert Porcherot has been appointed the new president of Alstom Romania, the French engineering group, also overseeing operations in Bulgaria and Moldova.
Porcherot has been vice president of Global Power Sales for the Central and Northern Europe since 2011. He is replacing Jacques Chevrier, who is retiring after more than ten years at the helm of the Romanian subsidiary.
“Alstom has developed a solid business in Romania, which continues to be a strategic market for the group. We have been here years for more years and we have been able to develop strong operations in all our sectors: Power, Transport and Grid, with a team of around 1,040 employees,” said Porcherot.
Porcherot has been with Alstom since 1977, holding various management positions.
