Alin George Moldoveanu wins Romania’s first Olympics gold in shooting competition

Romanian shooter Alin George Moldoveanu has won a gold medal in the men’s 10m Air Rifle in Shooting Competition. This is Romania’s first gold medal, after the silver one won by judoka Alina Dumitru on Saturday. Italy took the silver medal via Niccolo Campriani and India’s Gagan Narang the bronze.

The 29 years old athlete obtained 599 points with a final average of 702.1 point. In Beijing, at the previous Olympics Games, Moldoveanu came in on the fourth place.
