13,000 young Romanian farmers receive support to settle in rural areas

Through the National Rural Development Program 2007-2013 some 13,000 young farmers will receive financial support to settle in rural areas said agriculture minister Daniel Constantin at the 160 years anniversary of the University of Agronomic Science and Veterinary Medicine in Bucharest.

“No less than 13,000 your farmers will settle in rural areas through the National Rural Development Program 2007-2013. They will receive money to start activities in the rural area,” said Constantin according to Mediafax.

The minister also stressed there is an increasing demand for trained agric- business specialists both in the private and public sectors. According to him, some 4,000 agri-business jobs were created in this field this year following the accession of EU funds.
