RBS will provide a multi-currency loan of EUR 55 million, with a 1 year maturity, for two divisions of Rompetrol Group. The deal was signed at end-2011.
Rompetrol Gas, natural liquefied gas (NLG) division, and Rompetrol Downstream, retail division, will use the credit lines for securing working capital.
“These two credit lines confirm the trust of financial institutions in the strategy and financial capacity of Rompetrol Group. This year, the Group wants to finalize the program for increasing the refining capacity at Petromidia to 5 million tons of raw material, and to consolidate fuels distribution activities in several countries including Spain and France, but also to expand in Turkey and Ukraine,” says Dmitry Grigoryev, financial director of Rompetrol Group.
Rompetrol Downstream has 763 fuel distribution points, while Rompetrol Gas has 250 NLG distribution units in Romania.
