Simtel Team (BVB: SMTL), Romanian engineering and technology company listed on the AeRO market of the Bucharest Stock Exchange, announces the signing of a partnership with the industrial and logistics developer CTP Romania for the construction and installation of a photovoltaic system on the company’s buildings located in CTPark Bucharest West, on A1 motorway at the 23rd km.

Energy efficiency is becoming a priority for more and more businesses in Romania and abroad. Recently, amid rising prices for energy from conventional sources and European directives on environmental protection, the demands for the construction of renewable energy production capacities through the installation of photovoltaic power plants are on an ascending trend. At Simtel, we advocate for energy independence and environmental protection, and we are happy when we find partners, such as CTP, with whom we share the same vision. This project is ambitious and sets the trend of streamlining the energy consumption of logistics spaces,” stated Iulian Nedea, co-founder and CEO of Simtel Team.

The photovoltaic systems will be designed and built by Simtel Team on 11 buildings located within the industry park CTPark Bucharest West. The photovoltaic system will have an installed capacity of 11 MWp, approximately 30.000 photovoltaic panels. In the first year of operation, the energy produced will be 13,524,000 kWh, which can practically supply 3,705 households and reduce carbon dioxide emissions into the atmosphere by 17,581 tons per year. Once the works are completed, it will be the largest photovoltaic project built on the roof in Romania.

Within this project, Simtel Team will be responsible for the engineering works, designing, procuring the equipment and materials, assembling, testing, and commissioning for the turnkey implementation of the photovoltaic systems. Upon completion of the works, the company will ensure the maintenance of photovoltaic panels, which involves 24/7 monitoring, corrective remedies of any kind performed within 24 hours, and annual inspections to prevent any other potential unpleasant situations in the future.

Simtel Team has designed and installed over 30 MWp of photovoltaic power plants for the beneficiaries in the last three years, totalling over 70,000 photovoltaic panels. The panels installed by Simtel produce more than 37,000 MWh annually and reduce carbon dioxide emissions into the atmosphere by about 50,000 tons. As a result, Simtel clients save more than 7 million euros a year in energy costs that they no longer need to pay to traditional energy suppliers.

In 2021, Simtel Team signed several significant partnerships to build photovoltaic systems in Romania. In the first part of the year, the company completed the installation for Kaufland Romania of over 1,300 photovoltaic panels, with a capacity of 490.5 kWp, on the roofs of two stores in Bucharest and Focșani. Simtel Team also signed a partnership with Dedeman for the construction of photovoltaic power plants on the roofs of the 44 Dedeman stores in Romania.

In addition, at the end of 2021, Simtel Team won a new project for the construction and installation of photovoltaic power plants with an installed capacity between 50 and 100 kWp for Penny stores in Romania. The company also signed a significant contract with Fan Courier to install a photovoltaic power plant with a total installed capacity of 2,199.95 kWp for two warehouses, the roof of the office, and the parking of the Fan Courier headquarters in Bucharest.

Simtel Team is listed on the AeRO market of the Bucharest Stock Exchange as of July 1, 2021. The company has a market capitalization of over 160 million lei. As of October 11, 2021, SMTL shares are included in the BET- AeRO index developed by the Bucharest Stock Exchange.
