The National University of Political Studies and Public Administration (SNSPA), in partnership with Bitdefender, announces the launch of the “Product Management and Marketing” course, dedicated to SNSPA master’s students. The course is integrated into the curriculum of two master’s programs taught in English, namely Management and Digital Innovation (MDI) and Programs and Investments Management (PIM) within the Faculty of Management.

This course will be taught by SNSPA professors, alongside Bitdefender mentors, and will focus on enhancing practical skills in accordance with industry trends. The course has been designed to equip the participants with the latest techniques and tools used in the field of marketing.

“There is no theory that cannot be applied in practice, only theory that is taught inappropriately. With this belief in mind, at the Faculty of Management within SNSPA, we nurture tomorrow’s leaders: students who learn through simulations and case studies how to be prepared for current challenges that impact organizational rules, market dynamics, and business models. The “Product Management and Marketing” course, developed by the Faculty of Management from SNSPA and Bitdefender, fits into this logic: experiential learning for our master’s students from the Management and Digital Innovation (MDI) and Programs and Investments Management (PIM) degrees. Master’s students interested in developing and scaling products adapted to the requirements of the digitalized market will benefit from such successful examples and expertise based on the international experience of Bitdefender specialists and the relevant theory applicable in practice, taught by our faculty team”, said Prof. Univ. Dr. Florina Pînzaru, dean of the Faculty of Management within SNSPA.

SNSPA master’s students will have the opportunity to strengthen their skills through interactive sessions that will explore topics such as market segmentation analysis and customer journey mapping, product definition and positioning in the market, business growth strategies, creating a communication plan and telling interesting stories about products, as well as key metrics for product and segment performance.

“We are delighted about how this project has evolved, which we initially developed as an optional course, alongside our partners from SNSPA. We appreciate the openness and support in building an innovative study program, through which specialists from Bitdefender, together with professors from SNSPA’s Faculty of Management, will address industry challenges to enhance key competencies. Over the years, Bitdefender has actively supported collaboration initiatives between the academic and business environment, and this partnership reflects our vision of contributing to the training of future professionals”, says Mihaela Păun, Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing, Consumer Solutions Group within Bitdefender.

The course will culminate with a hackathon, held at the Bitdefender headquarters, during which SNSPA master’s students will work in teams to shape a business plan, based on which they will develop go-to-market strategies and create innovative products. The teams will then pitch their ideas to a jury in a special elevator pitch session.

The course was launched at the beginning of the second semester of the 2022-2023 academic year, with participating students from the Faculty of Management and the Faculty of Communication and Public Relations. The concept was developed by Bitdefender in partnership with SNSPA and the Exploratist agency.
