Nod Makerspace offers a free studio for start-ups in design, arts, carpentry and other related fields

Nod Makerspace, the first large-scale creative center in Romania that aims to democratize engineering design and education, launched the Maker Scholarship program through which teams of 2-4 young professionals from the field of design (product, furniture, interior, fashion, etc.), arts, carpentry and other related fields can access for free a studio in maker space area for 3 months.

 

The chosen team will have access to a wood and metal workshop, CNC laser, CNC router, 3D printer, plotter, scanner, meeting rooms, and the possibility to participate in all events and workshops all inside Nod Makerspace.

Moreover, through the Maker Scholarship accelerator, the team will receive help from the Nod Makerspace community in the development of projects through a program of consulting and mentoring sessions in business, design, prototype, marketing, and communication depending on the needs and the specifications of the project.

To access the Maker Scholarship, the start-up must meet the following eligibility criteria:

  • Team of 2-4 young professionals from the field of design (product, furniture, interior, fashion, etc.), arts, carpentry and other related fields
  • Legal entity of type SRL/ONG or informal group made of freelancers/employees in other companies/students provided that the team or member is ready to prepare a legal entity, to carry out the chosen activity Brief
  • Description and motivation of the project
  • Cv’s of teams members and portfolio if any
