Call for Leaders – 3Q is a new category where Business Review features our 3 questions with some of Romania’s top business professionals, bringing a positive, insightful, or otherwise constructive view of their markets in the context of the current crisis.

Current conversation: Stefan Baciu, Country Sales Leader, SAS Romania & Rep. Moldova

What are the measures you took for your business during this period?

We are very active in this period, supporting our customers who are trying to re-adjust their operations and make sense of the uncommon situation we are all going through. Luckily, with our advance analytics capabilities we can really help our customers to evaluate various business scenarios, the impact of different decisions as well as identify areas for optimization. Our entire team works (remotely) around the clock to providing the crucial insights our customers need in this volatile period.

What’s your advice for business leaders regarding this crisis?

We are all in this together and there’s strength in putting our minds and energy to overcome this situation. So most importantly is to keep a positive attitude and make sure every team-member shares that. Address concerns, provide support – all with a positive mind-set. Also, don’t put investments on hold – you had a solid reason to consider a new project before this situation started – you need only to re-evaluate how this new projects can help make you resilient in these times. Other than the domino effect the cancelation of investments can have in your ecosystem – this sends a negative signal inside your organization and takes the purpose and positive expectations from your teams.

What’s the most positive business news you’ve read today and want to share?

I see daily companies rallying up to help the medics, the hospitals and this gives me hope we’ll go through this and become more close to each-other. We came so far because we were able to adapt so I think we’ll be seeing innovative approaches such as: protective equipment, disinfestation stations at the entrance of offices, malls, etc. mass testing stations also at the entrance of public spaces. And soon, for sure a treatment and a vaccine will appear.
