The Call For Leaders interview series reached its third phase, with the established 3Q format having received a revamp for 2021. The original Call For Leaders 3Q and its sequel, Call For Leaders – Back in Business, have seen us talking to quite a diverse roster of business leaders in Romania, representing top companies and various industries. In this new installment of the series, BR talked to Radu Milos, Co-Founder & CTO at Elysian Software.

How will your company be involved in the development of your industry, and in the recovery of other sectors which were affected by the pandemic?

In a nutshell, we want to help by simply providing utility. In the sense that we developed a platform that allows companies to streamline their processes. Even if this seems very general and abstract, let me nail it down more specifically. Tassis handles internal administrative tasks and lets the employees focus on the core business of the company. At the same time, Tassis helps managers have a zoomed-out overview of the status of their projects but also a detailed zoomed-in perception of what is happening on individual tasks.

We deliver the backbone that allows companies to grow smoothly without the administrative hassle that comes with increasing the number of employees and projects.

But most importantly, we think our purpose goes beyond that. Because it’s a locally developed platform that’s affordable. This means that, while some time ago this kind of utility was expensive and unavailable to smaller teams and companies, we aim to democratize this making it available to anyone at very convenient prices or even for free in some cases.

After a difficult 2020 year, how do you think business optimism will be influenced in 2021?

I believe business optimism is inherently tight with personal and human optimism. Because businesses are crafted and fueled by humans. And while 2020 was a difficult year on a humane level, 2021 provides something very important for all of us: some tangible reasons to back up the hope that already existed.

So, after one year in which the whole world tried to adapt and make ends meet, now we’re going to be facing a great hunger for the exuberance of life.

Let me give you an analogy. A few years ago, a lot of people would complain about getting bumped in a nightclub. Now, they can’t wait to get bumped in a club again.

So, we’re going to experience a lot of optimism out of everyone and a lot of lust for life. And businesses are always going to be there to provide support for people’s needs.

How will you approach innovation and new investments in 2021?

We approach innovation in the simplest of ways. We look at our clients and ask the most basic question: What functionalities could we offer them so they can execute their daily tasks and run their company without any administrative hassle?

We manage projects, tasks, working hours, holidays, business trips, and HR documents. Our innovation is fueled by our customers’ feedback, and this is where we put our investments as well.

As a personal philosophy that we try to extend in business is that I’ve always loved how children and lazy people think. Because if you have the most difficult problem on your hands, you can count on them to always find the most lateral, creative and easiest way of solving it.
