Zitec recognized as winner of 2023 Microsoft Romania Partner of the Year Award

Zitec today announced it has won the 2023 Microsoft Partner of the Year Award in Romania. The company was honored among a global field of top Microsoft partners for demonstrating excellence in innovation and the implementation of customer solutions based on Microsoft technology.

The Microsoft Partner of the Year Awards recognize Microsoft partners that have developed and delivered outstanding Microsoft-based applications, services and devices during the past year. Awards were classified in various categories, with honorees chosen from a set of more than 4,200 submitted nominations from more than 100 countries worldwide. Zitec was recognized for providing outstanding Azure-based solutions and services in Romania.

Zitec has been working with Microsoft Azure since 2011 and was the first company in Romania to launch a live application on the platform. Over the following years, Zitec has helped companies across Europe and North America migrate or modernize over 100 workloads using Microsoft Azure, with a substantial part of these being business-critical applications for medium-sized and large organizations.

Among many successful projects, one in particular stood out for its truly remarkable achievements and earned Zitec this Partner of the Year Award: the digital progress of Sameday, Romania’s fastest growing courier company. After introducing easybox delivery to the national market, Sameday is currently among the main players in its segment in Romania, and it expanded its activity in Hungary and Bulgaria.

For over six years, Zitec has been supporting Sameday’s accelerated business growth with solutions that ensure flexibility and convenience for customers and couriers alike. Some of the transformative aspects of these projects have been captured in case studies on the Microsoft Sentinel security implementation, Reinventing delivery with Sameday’s easybox locker service, or Sameday’s Kubernetes-based infrastructure.

With the aid of the technological ecosystem it operates, Sameday focuses on offering delivery services that create growth opportunities for people, industries and communities.
