Dragos Catalinoiu Gociman and Gabriel Iliescu, the founders of ViziteazaDelta.ro, have invested about EUR 1 million in the MyPal.travel platform, a smart and innovative system for information, booking and online payments for integrated worldwide tourism services.

The MyPal.travel platform is dedicated to consumers of tourism services who want to customize their travels according to their own preferences and do not want to be involved in a group programme, and who want to optimise the time they spend searching for a trip.

“We’ve allocated a budget of over EUR 956,000 to develop MyPal.travel, because we believe Romanians have a real need to find all the information they need about tourist destinations in one place, to be able to make integrated bookings and pay for all the services they want, including car rentals, sports game tickets, concerts or day trips,” said Dragos Catalinoiu Gociman.

The two entrepreneurs have also made other investments in online tourism, having launched the ViziteazaDelta.ro platform in the spring of 2018, after an investment of over EUR 130,000. The platform promotes integrated tourism packages for the Danube Delta, which are also available on the MyPal.travel platform.

“Studies have shown that in order to plan a full holiday (plane tickets, accommodation, meals, transport, day trips, sports events tickets, shows, concerts, etc.), tourists tend to visit up to 38 different websites and spend up to 30 hours to research their perfect trip. With MyPal.travel, we have detailed information about destinations, entertainment and leisure options, flight and transport recommendations, hotels, car rentals and various other elements, which significantly shortens the time it takes to plan a holiday, as clients can configure their desired options in just a few clicks, without having to go to other websites,” said Gabriel Iliescu.

The platform has been developed over the past 18 months by a team of about 25 people, according to Gociman.

“We want to offer tourists complete holidays at affordable prices, which they can book in the easiest, quickest and most efficient way possible, since time is the most precious resource we have. We also offer clients support throughout the entire trip, through a personal consultants they can contact at any time,” he added.
