Up to 32,000 Romanian tourists are expected this year at Albena, the Bulgarian seaside resort, report officials from Albena JSCo. In 2010, the number of Romanian tourists visiting Albena grew by three percent, as the resort registered 271,000 nights spent at local hotels, compared to the 263,000 spent the year before.

“We expect more families to choose to spend their holidays in Albena. We continue to anticipate a healthy and constant growth on the Romanian market,” stated Margita Todorova, Marketing & Sales Director, Albena JSCo.

The season peak occurred in August last year, when 97,200 overnights were reported, a third of the total. A new hotel will be launched this year in Albena, early booking offers and international cuisine options are among the factors that are expected to draw more tourists this year.
