The Romanian Dubai Business Council (RDBC), a non-profit organization, was formed by a group of 20 companies led by Romanian entrepreneurs. RDBC aims to create a vibrant community that supports Romanian companies doing business in Romania and Dubai in their transition from traditional business models to the innovative and technology-based 4.0 economy.

The establishment of the RDBC aligns with the strategic plans of the Dubai Chamber of Commerce to establish new country-specific business councils and enhance their roles in stimulating Dubai’s foreign trade and promoting cross-border business opportunities for member companies.

RDBC will serve as a platform for networking, idea exchange, and business cooperation, enabling them to navigate efficiently in the ever-changing new business model. By providing guidance, resources, and collaboration opportunities, RDBC aims to create an environment that fosters innovation, entrepreneurship, and long-term success.

The launch event, held at the prestigious Dubai Chamber of Commerce, was honored by the presence of His Excellency Mr. Octavian BĂDICA, the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Romania to the United Arab Emirates, Her Excellency Ms. Nicoleta TEODOROVICI, the Consul General of Romania in Dubai, as well as the founding members of the Romanian Dubai Business Council and several distinguished representatives of the Dubai Chamber of Commerce, including THX. Maha Al Gargawi – Vice President (Business Advocacy), Mr. Mohammed Bin Sulaiman – Director (Business Relations), and Omar AlHashmi – Project Manager (Business Relations).

“The relations between the United Arab Emirates and Romania have never been closer and more privileged than today. Our recent political and economic dialogue constitutes a cornerstone for B2B relations that contribute to our common goal of peace and prosperity. This goal of cooperation brings us together and motivates us to work together. I am honored to be here today at the launch of such an important initiative, which begins with exceptional entrepreneurial spirit, bright minds, and energetic people. In this regard, I would like to thank the Chamber of Commerce for its support and all those who visualized and implemented this project. The council will bring communities closer, promote bilateral interests, and facilitate business dialogue,” said Octavian Bădica, the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Romania to the United Arab Emirates.

The values of the RDBC, including integrity, excellence, innovation, collaboration, and social responsibility, guide its activities.

“I would like to express my gratitude for the invitation and take this opportunity to reiterate my continuous support for the Romanian Dubai Business Council (RDBC). I have full confidence that this council has the potential to become an operational tool, assisting Romanian companies that are establishing or already exist in Dubai. Through business relationships and connections, as well as the exchange of information and a constant connection between Romania and the United Arab Emirates, this council can be a valuable resource. I wish you great success!” said Nicoleta Teodorovici, the Consul General of Romania in Dubai.

With a commitment to making a positive impact on society and the environment, the council strives to provide excellent services and quality interactions with its customers and partners.

“We are delighted to announce the establishment of the Romanian Dubai Business Council (RDBC), which represents a significant step in our efforts to support the business interests of Romanian companies based in Dubai. Our mission is to assist Romanian and UAE companies in creating a 4.0 community by promoting innovation, collaboration, and knowledge sharing,” said Genoveva Turcu, the President of the Romanian Dubai Business Council (RDBC).

The slogan of the Romanian Dubai Business Council, “Crafting Global Growth,” reflects its commitment to generating positive changes through innovation and collaboration within the business community.
