Romanian tech start-ups could compete for financing through Dubai platform

Romanian tech start-ups could compete for financing through innovative technological solutions platform launched by Dubai’s tourism industry. 

The Department of Tourism and Commerce of Dubai (Dubai Tourism) has launched the third edition of the Futurism program, a global entrepreneurial platform dedicated to technology start-ups.

Interested start-ups should show technological innovation and propose solutions that contribute to the development of the some futuristic themes:

Hyper-personalization – Using consumer information through data analysis tools to personalize visitor experiences
Connected travel – Offering uninterrupted tourist experiences by eliminating the boundaries between aviation, hospitality and destination services
Operations digitization – Using robotics, artificial intelligence and machine learning to optimize industry operations such as inventories, payments, bookings or workforce management
First Destination Option – Encouraging travelers around the world to choose Dubai when they decide to travel
Environmentally Friendly Travelers – Using technology and innovation to support sustainable travel as part of the Dubai-based Sustainable Tourism Program
“Figital” experiences – Technology that converges physical and digital contact points during travel for tourist purposes to create unitary experiences and improve customer engagement

Dubai Tourism will announce the winning start-up, as well as the second-ranked competitor, who have the chance to win an EUR 25,000-prize as start-up capital.

In addition to licensing, the winner will receive visas relevant to Dubai, office space and the chance to obtain new funding in the future.
