Betano marked a historical global sports partnership with UEFA EURO 2024

Nearly two months ago, top gaming operator Betano brought the UEFA EURO 2024 trophy in Romania, for hundreds of sports fans to view and photograph. The memorable unveiling event marked a historical global partnership between Betano and UEFA EURO 2024, turning the brand into the first player in the betting industry to ever partner with the European competition.


“We are immensely proud to be part of UEFA EURO 2024 and to have brought the trophy to Romanian sports lovers, as the country that inaugurates the trophy’s itinerary across Europe this season. This pioneering partnership stands as a testimony of our shared values of equity, progress, and innovation, our policies, and our sustained commitment to sports worldwide”, explained Dragoș Mîndreci, Country Manager Betano Romania during the unveiling event.

The partnership with UEFA EURO 2024 is not the brand’s first collaboration of this scale, Betano having previously teamed up with FIFA for the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022™ as a Regional Supporter for Europe.

Both globally and locally, Betano stands out as a great supporter of sports across all fields, sponsoring almost 15 top-league sports clubs and around 10 elite athletes. In Romania, the brand has been a long-term partner of the Romanian Football Federation for one of the longest-standing local competitions, the Romanian Cup Betano, along with other Tier 1 sports clubs such as FCSB and Universitatea Craiova.

“Throughout our 8-year presence in Romania, we have seen the great potential of Romanian teams and athletes and the current representation of our teams in global and regional competitions across multiple fields confirms the fact”, synthesized Dragoș Mîndreci. “Sports is one of our main business and product pillars; every day, we are working on bettering our products and platform to increase the experience of Romanian sports fans. The memorable unveiling event marked only the beginning of the global partnership, as the trophy continued its itinerary across Europe. Betano remains committed to its mission of elevating the sporting experience for fans worldwide and will carry on with the excitement of UEFA EURO 2024 with custom experiences for both new and existing customers, as well as many online and offline campaigns for sports lovers.
