The building materials holding ROCA Industry announces the completion of the transaction for the acquisition of 70% of the share capital of Workshop Doors. The price of the transaction is 30 million RON. According to the terms of the transaction, the holding company has the option to acquire an additional 30% of the shares issued by Workshop Doors.

Workshop Doors, present on the interior door market since 2009, operates with two production facilities, located in Reghin and Petelea, Mureș county. In the last financial year, related to 2023, the company achieved an estimated turnover of 48.8 million RON and EBITDA of over 12 million RON, exporting a significant proportion of its own production.

“This acquisition underlines the firm commitment of ROCA Industry to strengthen its position in the market of construction material manufacturers by adding a new important player in the holding. The Experience in the sector of interior doors, accumulated in recent years by the ROCA Industry team through Eco Euro Doors, but also the know-how of the Workshop Doors founder who remains with us, represents a premise of success for improving processes both at the operational, commercial and supply channel levels. With this step, we are entering a new stage of development and scaling of the holding, having the ability to create a reference player at the European level,” declares Ionuț Bindea, CEO of ROCA Industry.

Through this acquisition, the holding aims, in the future, for a possible merger between Workshop Doors and Eco Euro Doors, the largest Romanian manufacturer of doors for residential constructions, keeping its options open regarding the organization of the future European player, which would allow the expansion of capacity of production and diversifying the portfolio with new competitive products on the Romanian market, but also at the European level.

The acquisition process was initiated on August 18, 2023, through Eco Euro Doors, which subsequently assigned to ROCA Industry the sale-purchase agreement, together with all related rights and obligations.

The ROCA Industry portfolio expands to a total of 9 companies

ROCA Industry continues in 2024 the strategy of consolidating the portfolio, through organic growth, but also mergers & acquisitions (M&A) processes, which will lead to the expansion of the commercial activities of its companies.

In full transition to the main market of the Bucharest Stock Exchange, ROCA Industry reaches, through the completion of the acquisition, a portfolio of 9 companies with the potential of regional leaders in the sectors in which they operate.

ROCA Industry is the industrial holding company majority owned by ROCA Investments, the most dynamic private equity company in Romania.
