Avi Compact, one of the most important air conditioning companies in Romania, estimates a maximum 10% increase in turnover for 2021. Last year, the company had a turnover of over 7.8 million euros.

The maintenance services of air conditioners have increased significantly, especially during the pandemic. The maintenance segment for the corporate area increased by 5% in the second half of last year, and 2021 will bring an additional increase of 10%. The main customers come from the pharmaceutical and banking sectors.

The construction sector is still affected by the pandemic, but the company estimates a 10% – 15% increase in demand for air conditioning equipment. This year’s customers include an electrical equipment factory, as well as two residential complexes in the northern part of Bucharest.

The ventilation systems for fresh air with heat recovery are the most wanted equipment for the corporate segment, as they do not recirculate indoor air, but are based on the use of outdoor air instead.

The residential segment continues to grow in 2021. Working from home results in investments meant to increase the comfort, so air conditioners become a priority. Customers choose air conditioners with high energy efficiency and that they can control from the distance. For this segment, Avi Compact estimates a 10% increase as well.

The air purifiers and the heat pumps segments have also grown significantly, especially for replacing boilers with liquid or solid fuel. It is important to mention that Romanians have become more and more aware of the importance of specialized maintenance services that are done especially before the start of the warm season.

“This is one of the most difficult periods we have gone through in the 18 years of activity. But we relied on a united team, 40% of our colleagues have been with us for more than ten years. Our priorities in 2021 are creating our own stocks of products and equipment, expanding the team, training courses for the employees and projects carried out abroad. We are also considering expanding the business with general entrepreneurship works “, explains Florin Rădulescu, founder of Avi Compact.

For this year’s warm season, Avi Compact estimates an increase in the market for the final consumer. In Bucharest, the number of new projects will decrease, largely due to the new conditions for obtaining construction permits, so the air conditioning market for the corporate segment will stagnate in 2021.

“There are several criteria that will make the difference between companies operating in the air conditioning market. The existence of stocks, a fast response time to the customer, well-prepared assembly teams, extended warranty for equipment and assembly, but also post-warranty services “, says Marian Pandele, Executive Director of Avi Compact.

Avi Compact is also a producer of electricity, owning a photovoltaic plant. Due to this, over 70% of employees are already vaccinated. Among the measures taken by the company regarding the safety of its employees in the context of the pandemic are: separating the employees into teams that do not meet each other, providing transportation for employees with company cars, so that they do not have to use public transport, establishing clear procedures in the interaction with the beneficiaries, as well as hygiene and disinfection measures in the offices.

At the beginning of April, Avi Compact will mark 18 years of activity in Romania. With over 500 reference projects with a national coverage, Avi Compact is one of the most important players on the HVAC market. For the last 14 years Avi Compact has been the largest Daikin distributor in Romania, but the company also has other brands in its portfolio, such as Samsung, Mitsubishi, Viessmann, Vaillant.
