First local Auchan City opens in Iasi

Auchan has opened this Thursday its 10^th local hypermarket in the EUR 265 million Palas Iasi project owned by Iulian Dascalu.

The hypermarket in Iasi comes with a new retail concept – Auchan City  – which focuses on fresh food. It has a sales area of 5,300 sqm and sells some 25,00 products out of which 1,500 are private labels.

Present at the opening event, Patrick Espasa, the general manager of Auchan Romania, reconfirmed the company’s plans to reach 15 outlets in 2015 by investing EUR 150 million. The next opening will be this year in Bucharest (Giulesti)..
