2021 meant for Bonami, the online store with furniture and decorations, the achievement of many ambitious projects. Last June, the company launched its own premium courier service, transporting pieces of furniture to the customer’s home. 2021 also marked the expansion into new countries, with Bonami adding 4 new markets to its portfolio: Latvia, Lithuania, Croatia and Slovenia. Also, in November-December, the company carried out campaigns with TV spots on 4 out of the 9 markets where it is present.

“We have invested over 4 million euros in stores, expanding warehouses and expanding the company to 4 new markets. Last year, Bonami received more than 2.7 million products in its warehouses and expanded its warehouse area by 10,000 m2 to the current 55,000 m2. Bonami continues to be a profitable company, supporting its investments from its own resources, ” said Pavel Vopařil, Bonami’s CEO.

The growth of the company on all its markets was 25%. The Romanian market stagnated, after a 40% increase in the previous year. The turnover in 2021, in Romania, was 10 million euros.

The number of products in stock did not change significantly compared to 2020, when the stock increased dynamically, the plan being to sell 90% from it. In the case of best-selling products, availability is maintained at over 90% and over 90% of the goods sold are in stock.

Unlike previous years, in 2021 more furniture products were added. Regarding the preferences of Romanians, they chose to buy garden furniture, a consequence of the time spent at home. The furniture category recorded the highest sales at company level.

Similar to last year, this year Bonami expects possible complications in the supply chain and rising prices for transport and materials. For this reason, the company wants to focus on vertical integration so that it has control over the entire production chain, in order to offer customers products of a higher level of quality.

Regarding the plans for 2022, Pavel Vopařil commented: “We have decided that we need to rely on ourselves in many parts of the supply chain. As a result, we want to have more control over both transportation and the products themselves. That is why we will expand our range with new categories, we will start to design some products ourselves, but, most of all, we are interested in obtaining the best quality for our products. Satisfaction of our customers remains equally important, which is why we will continue to improve our services, website and mobile phone interface, content and navigation, so that the shopping experience on the Bonami website is easy and enjoyable. We have successfully expanded into 4 new markets that have grown quite rapidly last year, so we will definitely focus on them to add relevant services, product offerings and content. ”
