Projects of over EUR 1 million carried out by Color Smart, in 2022

The projects carried out in 2022 by Color Smart, sole importer and distributor in Romania and the Republic of Moldova of the premium and premium plus brands Novacolor, Color Smart and Pittsburgh Paints, amounted to over 1 million euros. Their value represents a quarter of the company’s turnover, estimated at 4 million euros for the current year.

“This year we carried out approximately 60 turnkey projects, which amounted to a total value of more than 1 million euros and which included both the necessary materials and the actual realization of the turnkey decoration. We have had locations where only the purchased materials reached 70,000 euros, and together with the application services, they exceeded 100,000 euros. Turnkey project services are increasing in demand, bearing in mind that many of those who cross the threshold of the Color Smart showroom encounter difficulties in finding teams of specialists who know how to apply the demanding decorative paints”, said Cătălina Trupșor, founder and CEO of Color Smart.

Since last year, Color Smart has invested in its own training courses for professional applicators – Novacolor Academy, in an attempt to respond to the demand that appeared in the market with the annual organic growth of the interior design segment, an increase of 10-15 %, in recent years.

“We have done our best to grow, evaluate and develop teams of applicators and as of 2022 we managed to train several masters who can deliver turnkey any interior or exterior design project. We aim to continue the training of applicators in order to be able to offer our customers complete services – from consulting in the choice of the product, in estimating the budget, to the actual fitting out works. This gives us the guarantee that our client’s projects will be delivered at the desired level of quality”, explained Cătălina Trupșor.

In the Color Smart portfolio, there is a wide range of services that can be purchased by customers, from materials and accessories, to consulting services or to turnkey projects carried out by its teams of applicators.

Among the most significant projects carried out by Color Smart in 2022 is the fitting out of a 700 sqm gym in Cluj, for which Wall2Floor micro cement was used, a very modern mineral system that replaces tiles. Its realization involved an investment of over 100,000 euros and a large team of specialists were needed, taking into account that the application of this material can only be done with highly qualified professionals. Its implementation lasted 2 months and involved the coordination of all technical actions to achieve a correct arrangement and the effective application of the products.

Another project carried out by the Color Smart team of professionals, without whose input the work would not have been executed at the level of performance required by the client, was the fitting out of a residence in Bacau. For this, metallic finishes were used, and the applicators obtained a sophisticated and elegant decoration. The investment amounted to approximately 120,000 euros.

From the list of impressive projects carried out this year by Color Smart, the development of a commercial space in Alba-Iulia could not be missing, a project that amounted to a value of approximately 110,000 euros. The specialists used one of the most fashionable products, which presents a concrete look, from the range of cement – Archi+Big – and achieved an industrial style worthy of admiration.

The exterior of a villa in Snagov was also transformed by Color Smart professionals, with the help of Intosil decorative paint, special for exteriors, to which the oxidizing exterior paint Ironic was added, with which they managed to create an industrial-style facade with a touch of ancient. The value of the project amounted to approximately 100,000 euros and was completed in 45 days.

Last but not least, a block of flats in Bucharest, located in the northern part of the Capital, called on the services of Color Smart and the purchase of interior materials alone amounted to around 90,000 euros. The developers decided to focus on the quality of the finishes and selected premium ecological, antibacterial and anti-mold washable paints, which benefits from a very high resistance over time. Work began in January 2022 and will be completed by Christmas.
