Samsung Electronics Romania joins forces with BMW Romania in an exceptional collaboration aimed at bringing together innovation and excellence from the automotive and tech industries. Recognized for their innovative portfolios and reinventing patterns, the two iconic brands are launching a series of projects that will offer consumers experiences beyond technology.

We know that the tech and automotive industries are among the most dynamic and revolutionary fields. In an ever-changing landscape, it is essential for brands to respond to consumer demands, surpass traditional boundaries, and open new possibilities through creative collaborations and exceptional partnerships. Samsung and BMW share a passion for innovation, technology, and design. These values and attributes define the universes of both brands and lay the foundation for an extraordinary partnership,” declares Simona Panait, Marketing Director of Samsung Electronics Romania and Bulgaria.

Under the umbrella of “Overtake the Ordinary,” the collaboration is based on the common values of the two companies: cutting-edge technology, iconic design, and the desire to reinvent patterns. Samsung and BMW are recognized for their innovative approaches and for launching products and services that redefine industry standards.

The collaboration with Samsung in Romania comes after the brands have always been close internationally, from a partnership in motorsports to technology associations. The automotive industry is undergoing a major transformation, and BMW Group is seeking answers for the future in electric, sustainable vehicles that integrate multiple digital solutions, including mobile phones. The partnership with Samsung comes very natural in this context,” says Alex Șeremet, Corporate Communication Manager, BMW Romania.

A long-term local partnership

One of the initial projects within the Samsung and BMW partnership is “Destination Unknown,” a Samsung initiative in collaboration with SuperSpeed, which brought together six Samsung brand ambassadors on a mission to explore an unknown destination with the help of technology. They had the opportunity to directly experience the performance of BMW vehicles as well as the Samsung Galaxy Z series phones, which they used to document the entire experience.

Their entire adventure was showcased in the SuperSpeed show on May 27 on PROTV channel and on the social media accounts of the six ambassadors involved in the project: Christina One, Ovidiu Patrașcu, Alex Teodorescu (Tedereu), Laura Mușuroaea, Cosmin Seleși, and Ela Crăciun. The team had the chance to test one of the most exclusive models from the German brand – the BMW 8 Series Gran Coupe, BMW i7, and BMW iX – three models that together develop over 1800 horsepower and 2000 Nm. Additionally, the experience will be available for viewing online starting May 30 on the YouTube channels of SuperSpeed and Samsung Romania.

The collaboration between Samsung and BMW will generate a series of spectacular experiences throughout the summer, providing consumers with access to memorable encounters with both brands.

Samsung’s flagship phones from the Galaxy S and Galaxy Z series will be showcased in a number of BMW showrooms nationwide, allowing consumers to test the various specifications of the smartphones alongside the customary drive testing of the cars.

Moreover, this summer promises to be extraordinary for fans of both brands, as Samsung and BMW have prepared a joint calendar of events where participants will enjoy memorable experiences.
