Bozankaya, the Turkish technological manufacturer of environmentally friendly -electrically powered public transport vehicles, continues the production and delivery of  vehicles in all regions, including trams being delivered to municipalities in Romania, despite the earthquakes in Kahramanmaraş province that caused widespread destruction and affected about ten cities.

On February 14, the 16th Bozankaya tram arrived in Timisoara, and the last three trams from the batch of 16 trains will also come to Iași. They will be delivered accordingly on the scheduled dates.

Since Bozankaya’s production facility is located in Ankara, the production facilities were unaffected. After the earthquake, several countries sent their search and rescue teams to the affected areas, including the Romanian authorities. The fact that the Romanians are with us makes us incredibly happy. We greatly appreciate the courage and commitment they have shown in the last few days“, said Aytunç Günay, the Chairman of the Board of Bozankaya.

Also, many national and international companies have started humanitarian campaigns to help the victims. Bozankaya sent a truckload of essentials, including clothes, sleeping bags, hygiene products, and non-perishable food. The company has also produced heating stoves specifically for earthquake victims even if the stoves are not included in its product range.

The rolling stock manufacturer further points out that neither the company’s supply chain nor its transport routes were affected by the 7.8-magnitude earthquake that struck Turkey.

Regardless of the conditions, Bozankaya continues production and works hard not to delay the delivery of trams and to maintain the satisfaction of all customers at the highest level. The safety and comfort of travelers remain a priority for us, and the vision we share is that the future of mobility, in the context of the climate changes we are witnessing, is based on finding innovative technologies that are not harmful to the environment and that improve the lives of citizens“, added Aytunç Günay.
