TikTok, the leading destination for short-form mobile video platform, is launching TikTok for Business in Romania to offer support for brands, advertisers and SMBs in developing their marketing presence on TikTok and to build awareness of the platform in the country. TikTok for Business provides marketers with a range of solutions for businesses to connect brands with TikTok’s creative and positive community and gives them the opportunity to grow.

Through TikTok for Business, the company will offer support and educational programs to local brands who need help navigating the platform to better reach their target audiences. A local team will offer their expertise and experience in business and provide effective advertising solutions for clients and agencies on how to professionally leverage TikTok.

”TikTok is an authentic and joyful platform, and what’s more, it allows each of us to bring out our creativity, providing a safe place for each user to express themselves. TikTok helps connect people from all over the world, no matter where they live, their age or their experiences. Romania has welcomed TikTok with great enthusiasm, and we are happy to see our user base grow constantly and exponentially. I am very excited that my team and I will have the pleasure to support the development of the TikTok community in the country and present its unique opportunities to our business partners in Romania”, says Sylwia Chada, General Manager TikTok CE.

TikTok is the most rapidly growing and most downloaded app in the world over the past year according to Apptopia[1]. The platform registered 100 million active accounts in Europe. TikTok was ranked in the BrandZ Top 100 Most Valuable Global Brands 2020[2] in the top 100 most valuable brands in the world and in the top 10, in the entertainment category. In Romania, TikTok is one of the most downloaded and used apps in the country. Brands have also joined the platform in the past year and started to create engaged communities around their companies.

One of TikTok’s main priorities is the safety of its community and helping people and brands create their identities online. To achieve this goal, especially for young people, TikTok made significant changes mid-December last year by launching new family pairing tools and in mid-January adding changes to the privacy of user accounts for ages 13-15, which will be set to private by default. This is an example of one of the many measures TikTok is implementing on the topic of younger people safety.
