On a global market of independent platforms for freelancers estimated at over three billion USD in 2020 (according to the Freelancers Association), the LANCERIA project, the first marketplace in Romania dedicated to freelancers and developed on blockchain technology, is officially launched, in alpha version, to the community.

After only five months from the start of this innovative project, www.lanceria.com comes to support the ecosystem of those who work on their own by eliminating or minimizing any fees and commissions and by introducing the option of hybrid payments – in lei or foreign currency (FIAT system), as well as payments in cryptocurrencies.

Mihai Sebastian Săraru, CEO and Founder LANCERIA: Since 1998 when the first global marketplace where companies could hire freelancers was launched and until now, the economy of the independents has been dominated by 3-4 large global platforms, charging commissions of up to 20%. Modern freelancing, as we – the LANCERIA team – propose it, means the right to access premium freelancing services, without the burden of commissions and fees charged by intermediaries, in a reliable and transparent environment, validated and verified, supported by technology and artificial intelligence and governed by direct relationships between freelancers and clients.

The alpha version of www.lanceria.com is only the first step in the development of the platform proposed by the Romanian start-up, based on an agile way of working, in which the development is made following an in-depth dialogue with the main beneficiaries of the project. As such, at this time of development, the platform is open for testing only for 311 beneficiaries, selected from those who want to contribute to shaping the future of freelancing, members of the freelancers community, partners and clients alike.

At the time of the launch of the alpha version, www.lanceria.com brings together the basic functionalities of the marketplace where freelancers and potential clients can create customized profiles, define their areas of expertise and skills, post jobs and make a match between supply and demand, the latter being, in fact, the foundation of the experience that LANCERIA wants to offer.

Robert Tudor, COO and Co-Founder LANCERIA: LANCERIA is an ambitious start-up, launched at a very creative and effervescent moment for the entire work ecosystem, in a continuous adaptation to the economic reality generated by Covid-19, in the most diverse combinations. When in Europe alone 32.6 million people also worked as freelancers, and in the US, 36% of the country’s entire workforce has registered as freelancers, a platform based on the real needs of these people has every chance of becoming an international successful. And for this to happen, we are waiting for you online or offline, with as much feedback as possible, so that we can build the LANCERIA legacy together!”.

The solutions offered by Lanceria target from the first day freelancers in creative industries such as content creation, programming, web design, music and translation, to liberal professions in the field of science, art, literature, teaching or education.

The company’s plans include developing and launching the MVP to the general public by the first months of 2022. As a finite product, www.lanceria.com will integrate artificial intelligence and machine-learning into matching algorithms between freelancers and employers or into creating a balanced reputational system that offers equal job opportunities to all freelancers on the platform, regardless of when they become members of the LANCERIA community.
