Romanian creatives return with nine awards from Eurobest 2016

The Romanian ad campaigns got a gold, three silvers and five bronzes at Eurobest 2016. The number adds up to the 14 shortlists gained by five projects, coming from agencies such as McCann Worldgroup Romania and Publicis Romania.  

McCann was awarded for PAUL – “Bittersweet Pies”, The Renasterea Foundation- “Brave Cut”, Radio 21 – “Go Mono”, while Publicis for Automobil Clubul Roman – “Mr. Bear Driver” and Carrefour – “Shop Like a Jedi”.

PAUL – “Bittersweet Pies” won a Silver Eurobest at Creative Data /Data Visualisation and received 7 shortlists at Creative Data /Creative Data Enhancement, Creative Data /Data-Driven Targeting, Creative Data /Social Data; Direct /Fast Moving Consumer Goods, Direct /Use of Ambient Media: Small Scale; PR /Fast Moving Consumer Goods; Promo & Activation /Use of Ambient Media: Small Scale.

“Brave Cut”  arrived in Romania with three awards and a shortlist: a Silver Eurobest at Promo & Activation /Guerrilla Marketing & Stunts, a Bronze Eurobest at Media /Use of Ambient Media: Small Scale and a Bronze Eurobest at Media /Charities, Public Health & Safety, Public Awareness Messages. The campaign was also shortlisted at the PR category, sub-category Charities, Public Health & Safety, Public Awareness Messages.

McCann Worldgroup Romania gathered another two awards for the campaign Radio 21 – “Go Mono” at the categories Promo & Activation /Media & Publications and Promo & Activation /Use of Broadcast, while also being shortlisted at the Radio category, at the two sub-categories Use of Music and Use of Radio as a Medium.

Publicis Romania won for Automobil Clubul Roman – “Mr. Bear Driver”, two Eurobest awards: a Gold at Media/Use of Mobile, a Silver at Promo & Activation/Use of Mobile and a Bronze at Direct /Use of Mobile. “Mr. Bear Driver” also got three shortlists at the categories Interactive /Branded Games, Media /Use of Branded Content created for Digital or Social Media and Mobile /Activation by Location.

Moreover, Publicis Romania got a shortlist at the category Media /Use of Screens for Carrefour – “Shop Like a Jedi”.
