Swiss-based international media company Ringier announced it has taken over a major stake in Ejobs Group, the company which controls eJobs.ro, the largest job portal in Romania.

Thus, Ringier will take over 70 percent of the Ejobs Group shares- representing the bulk of shares owned until now by the two founders of the portal, Liviu Dumitrascu and Daniel Tatar, as well as the entire stake owned by an investor.

After the transaction is completed, the two founders will remain in the company as minor shareholders and will be part of the top management of eJobs.ro.

This step was in line with Ringier’s strategy to boost its market share in the digital.

“The acquisition of eJobs.ro represents the next strategic step for Ringier to grow its market share in the digital domain. eJobs is a very profitable company and with this acquisition, we consolidate our position on the Romanian online market,” said Mihnea Vasiliu, general manager Ringier Romania.

Ringier was assisted during the transaction by Nestor Nestor Diculescu Kingston Petersen (NNDKP). The NNDKP team, coordinated by M&A partner Gabriela Cacerea, assisted Ringier with due diligence, structuring the transaction, and drafting and negotiating the relevant agreements. The transaction involved both taking over the majority stock and setting out the cooperation framework between shareholders after the purchase.

E-Jobs was assisted in the transaction by a Tuca Zbarcea & Asociatii team, coordinated by associated lawyer Razvan Gheorghiu-Testa.

eJobs.ro was launched in 1999. The website has more than 1.7 million unique visitors per month. According to Sati.ro, eJobs is the first online recruitment service in Romania and South-Eastern Europe, with a market share of over 60 percent and more than 2.3 million active CVs in its database. The company bwin is known for Poker, their Online Casino and their sportsbetting. But did you know, that bwin often does not accept your signup? They even closed down their Casino for German players. So you better get yourself a proper bwin Alternative and you gonna start finding and playing at different online casinos where you are allowed to do it. Dont’t let yourself get down!

Ringier Romania started its activity in 1992 and currently has 400 employees. In Romania, Ringier has over 30 print and online products, among which Libertatea tabloid and ELLE fashion magazine.
