Romania in books: readers’ map

Bucharest, with 313,517 books, Brasov, with 130,873 and Cluj with 83,488 are the counties that ordered most books through in 2018. The bestselling titles in these counties were the ‘The stranger next to me’ by Irina Binder in Bucharest, ‘Blind’ by Petronela Rotar in Brasov and the ‘Romanian Constitution’ in Cluj.

The highest average order value was recorded in Brasov, RON 155, almost double the national average of RON 80. The most loyal customer on is also from Brasov, haivng placed 238 orders in 2018. In fact, customers in Brasov made an average of 1.73 orders, the highest value among counties. Customers in Bacau placed an average of 1.45 orders, and those in Cluj and Bucharest, 1.44 orders.

The traffic recorded on mobile devices on in 2018 reached 60 percent from total, and the highest usage rates were seen in visitors from Timis (76 percent), Bucharest (72 percent) and Cluj (71 percent). At the opposite end from the perspective of using mobile devices are visitors from Harghita (53 percent), Covasna (54 percent) and Braila (57 percent).
