16 startups from Bucharest or Ilfov County will be able to obtain free workspaces, training and mentorship programmes in the capital or in Magurele town for a maximum of three years, as part of the Ilfov Business Hub, a new incubator launched by the County Council.

The new incubator will begin a selection process for startups later this year. The incubator will be managed by a company named Loop Operations with RON 1.4 million in funds from the county budget.

In the first phase, a series of startups and entrepreneurs will be selected for a pre-incubation period of six months. Of these startups, 16 will be selected for the incubation programme, which will last at least two years.

Startups will have free access to the following facilities:

  • Workspaces in Bucharest/Magurele
  • Meeting rooms, conference rooms
  • Legal, management, accounting and marketing support

The incubator will favour technology startups and encourage innovation. It will also collaborate with the Polytechnic University in Bucharest to encourage students to open businesses.

More information about the incubator can be found on the Ilfov County Council website.
