What our employees say

Andreea Andrei, Technical Product Owner, Joined 2022As an avid traveller, the airline industry is definitely where I feel at home. Still, the best thing about working for Emirates is the opportunity to collaborate with people who are passionate about their work, the product and about making sure our customers fly better. The teams I work with are supportive, committed and focused on excellence – everyone is on a path to self-improvement and there is a lot of room for growth. Living in Dubai definitely has its perks and I’m still adjusting to what feels like a never-ending summer! The city is fun, alive, and there are so many things to explore that every weekend feels like being on a holiday.

Alexandru Irimia, Senior Technical Software Engineer, iOS mobile app, Joined 2021I knew I wanted to work in Dubai from the moment I first visited the city in 2015. It’s one of the most advanced and modern cities in the world, and its safety was a key factor for me and my family when we decided to move here. Living in Dubai, as a family, means that we have endless opportunities for fun and enrichment. We can explore the city’s many attractions, and our son has access to great schools and amazing interactive experiences that help him learn and grow. The Emirates Group provides a high quality of life, with job security, opportunities to work on cutting-edge technologies, and a competitive benefits package. The fast-paced and dynamic work environment motivates me to grow and pursue my passions.

Here, I worked with Apples new framework and introduced the first SwiftUI screen in the app and then, along with the amazing team that I’m in, we were able to move away from UIKit and use only SwiftUI for new functionalities. I also switched sides and held interviews, participated in hackathons, ideathons, worked to refactor our ICE (inflight entertainment) module, created different POCs for innovation sprints, and recently had a meeting with Apple to showcase a demo for Apple Vision Pro, the upcoming mixed-reality headset.

The Emirates Group offers a great work-life balance and a diverse work environment, where people from all over the world collaborate to achieve common goals. Living in Dubai provides a sense of peace of mind that is truly priceless.

Andrei Fer, DevOps Engineer, Joined 2023In this short span of time of working at the Emirates Group, I’ve discovered a world of opportunities that perfectly align with my personal and professional aspirations. I’ve never felt more motivated to expand my knowledge and gain invaluable experience, and the organization has given me the perfect platform for me to do just that. The complex and dynamic nature of our operations continually challenges me, pushing me to learn and evolve.

Working here has been a transformative experience, thanks to its multicultural environment. Interacting with colleagues from diverse backgrounds has not only broadened my horizons but has also enriched my work with a wealth of perspectives. The spirit of unity in our diverse team is truly inspiring.

I take immense pride in being part of the world’s largest international airline. Here, proficiency meets the highest expectations, and we constantly strive for excellence. The challenges we tackle daily are a testament to our commitment to delivering nothing but the best.

Dubai offers a captivating lifestyle with wide ranging attractions that can be enjoyed throughout the year. The city’s unique blend of modernity and tradition creates an unforgettable experience for residents. As a passionate traveler, I consider it a privilege to be part of an organisation that allows me to combine my love for technology with my love for exploring new destinations. From Dubai to destinations across the globe, my job takes me to places I’ve always dreamed of visiting.
