The HEINEKEN Trainee Program is aimed at young university graduates with a technical or food industry educational background in Romania, who want to start a career in the beer industry. For them, the company opens 8 trainee positions in the Supply Chain department, in the 4 HEINEKEN factories in Romania.

The recruitment takes place on the jobful.io platform, between July and August 2021. At the end of the recruitment process, the 8 trainees will benefit from an induction program, which will prepare them for the activity in the Miercurea Ciuc, Târgu Mureș, Constanța or Craiova breweries.

The HEINEKEN Trainee Program will begin in early September and will last 13 months. During the program, the 8 trainees will have the opportunity to work on various projects that will enhance their skills and prepare them for a position in the Supply Chain, the department responsible for beer production, from barley to the end-product. When the program is accomplished, the 8 trainees will have the opportunity to remain in the company on a permanent position, in the Supply Chain department.

Those who want to be part of this program must have graduated recently or for a maximum of one year their university degree with a technical or food industry educational background. Candidates must also have a maximum of 2 years’ work experience, for which internships are taken into account, and be proficient in English.

In this endeavour, HEINEKEN Romania has concluded a partnership with jobful.io, a Romanian start-up that proposes an alternative recruitment experience. Thus, applicants go through a process meant to test them, but also to help them better understand the position for which they are applying. In the first stage, young people are invited to take the Beer Academy course, which introduces them to the basics of beer production and details about the Supply Chain department. As they learn more, candidates can take a test that assesses their level of knowledge and take part in challenges designed to stimulate their creativity.

We believe it is a duty and a necessity to give young people a chance at the beginning of their career, to offer them with the right framework in which to grow and develop in a dynamic and challenging field. Each colleague represents an important part of the HEINEKEN story in Romania, and everyone’s contribution is important and acknowledged. That is why we want to pass on our heritage and experience to those who join us. We want nowadays’ young graduates to be the professionals of tomorrow, with whom we can be proud. We always value the enthusiasm and vision of the younger generations and we want to embark them in the HEINEKEN story. I am convinced that this edition is just the beginning of a long standing project, in which we will recruit young people not only for the Supply Chain department, but also for other departments. I wish the candidates good luck and I guarantee a beautiful experience awaits them,”  said Sorin Bănulescu, People Director, HEINEKEN Romania.
